6th Grade Exploratory Form
On April 29th your child got to see a “Choose Your Own Adventure” Show highlighting all of the choices for their 6th grade Exploratory class next school year. They heard about 5 exciting options:
1)Robotics
2) Chorus
3) Strings
4 ) Band
5) Regular Exploratory Rotation schedule (which includes Art, Music, STEM, Spanish and PE).
For 6th grade Exploratory, students will choose one of these options which will be 4 days a week. Every 6th grader will have PE one day a week.
Students need to discuss the options with their parent or guardian, as some of the options involve buying or renting an instrument and a few performances during evening hours. Please complete this Rising 6th grade Exploratory form by the deadline, Tuesday, May 5.
Also, please note that if you choose Band, there is an instrument try out night at NWR on Wed, May 6 (2 options at 4:00 pm or 6:00 pm). If you choose Strings, there is an instrument try out night at NWR on Wed, May 6 from 6:00 - 7:30. Please try to attend these sessions if this is your Exploratory choice.
If your 5th grader does not sign up for a 6th grade Exploratory choice, he/she will be placed in the Regular Exploratory Rotation schedule for the 2026-27 school year.
