Amanda Claffey
Hello students and parents! I am excited to start my third year at North Windy Ridge. I have a passion for social studies and ELA--the subjects that I teach on the 6th East hallway. Previously, I taught 7th-grade social studies and ELA in Cabarrus County, NC and 9th grade World Studies/ESL in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
Outside of teaching, I love the outdoors. I've been rock climbing since childhood and recently got into mountain biking. Needless to say, I am enjoying the geography of Weaverville and the surrounding mountains! I look forward to the coming school year.
